The devotees from Zones 8 & 9, SSSGC got a unique opportunity to take part in the Grama Seva and Tree Plantation activities this morning at Jagarajupalli village (15kms from Puttaparthi).

For the first time under the umbrella of Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, the pilgrims from Zone 8 (Middle East & Gulf countries) and Zone 9 (South Africa, Mauritius, Morocco, Ethiopia and Seychelles) have participated in the Sri Sathya Sai Prematharu initiative by planting 108 trees in a village school compound. They also took part in the distribution of ration and household items to the villagers.

Every household had kept a decorated picture of Bhagawan at the entrance. Receiving the Managing Trustee of SSSCT, Sri RJ Rathnakar and the Zonal Chairmen of SSSGC, Sri. PP Sathyapalan & Sri Soobrie Naidu in a traditional procession consisting of local band, vedam, bhajans and the country flags, the entourage headed to a school compound where the beneficiaries assembled.

Addressing the audience, Sri RJ Rathnakar mentioned how Bhagawan’s name is spreading far and wide across the world and how His devotees have come together today here to reciprocate His Love. Dwelling on the importance of Oxygen and Nature, he urged the tribals to be cautious in their actions and not pollute the environment.
Witnessing the village atmosphere for the first time, these pilgrims conducted nagarsankeerthan and vedaparayana along with the tribals.
