අප නායකයෙකු බවට පත්වීමට අපෙක්ෂා කරන්නේ නම් ඒ ගමන පටන් ගත යුත්තේ කොතනින්ද යන්න භගවාන් සමිඳුන් අපට පැහදිලි කර දේ.
මෙලොව බිහිව සිටින සියලු සත්වයන් අතුරින් මිනිසත් බව ලබීම ඉතා අසීරු මෙන්ම වාසනාවන්ත දායාදයකි. මිනිසා හට ලැබී ඇති, වෙනත් සතුන්හට නොමැති මහගු දායාදය වන්නේ විමංසන බුද්ධියයි. මේ විමංසන බුද්ධිය උපයෝගී කර ගනිමින් මිනිසත් බව හා ජීවිතය පවිත්‍ර කර ගන්න. ඔබ උපදෙස් දහයක් දේශනා කළද එයින් එකක් හෝ ප්‍රායෝගිකව ක්‍රියාත්මක නොකරන්නේ නම් දේශනා කළ සියලු උපදෙස් වල වටිනාකම ශූන්‍ය වේ. නායකත්වය ගැන සිතන්නට පෙර සියල්ලන්ගේ සේවකයෙක් වන්න. සේවකයෙක් නොවී නායකයෙක් වීමට නොහැක. වර්තමාන ලෝකයේ අප දක්නා අවාසනාවන්ත තත්වය නම් යහපත් අනුගාමිකයන් නොවී නායකයන් බවට පත් වීමයි. ඒ අනුව ඔබගේ මුලු ජීවිතයම මිනිසාහට සේවාවන් කිරීම සඳහා කැප කිරීමට සුදානම් වන්න. පළමුව ඔබගේ නිවස තුළ මේ සංකල්පය ක්‍රියාත්මක කර දෙවනුව ඔබගේ ග්‍රාමය හා තෙවනුව ඔබගේ දේශයට සේවා කරන්න. ඔබගේ නිවස තුළ මෙය ක්‍රියාත්මක නොකරන්නේ නම් ගමට හා දේශයට කරන සේවාවලින් ප්‍රතිඵල බලාපොරොත්තු වන්නේ කෙසේද?

If we wish to be leaders, where should we begin? How should we prepare ourselves? Bhagawan lovingly guides each and every one of us today.
Of all the animals that are born in this world, to be born as a human being is the most difficult and fortunate thing. Having been born as human and having acquired that special gift of intellect, you must sanctify your human birth and human existence. You must be prepared to put into practice one out of the ten things that you preach in preference to just saying ten good things. You must be prepared to serve as servants for all your lives. Never think of being a leader. Without becoming a servant you cannot become a leader. You must first learn to follow before becoming a leader. We find the world in an unfortunate state because, today, people become leaders without knowing how to become good followers. In that context, you must be prepared to spend all your lives in the service of humanity. In the first instance, you must serve your own home, then you must serve your village, then your state, and then the country. Without acquiring the ability to serve in your own home and produce results in your home, how can you serve your country and hope to produce results?

நாம் மனிதப்பிறவியை புனிதமாக்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். ‘ஜந்தூனாம் நரஜன்ம துர்லபம்’ – இவ்வுலகில் பிறந்த எல்லா உயிரினங்களிலும் மனிதப் பிறவி கிட்டுவது அரிதாகும். இப்படிப்பட்ட பவித்ரமான, அரிய மனிதப்பிறவி நமக்குக் கிடைத்த போதும்கூட, இதை வீணடிக்கும் பாதையில் நாம் செல்லக்கூடாது. பத்து விஷயங்களைப் பற்றி வெறுமனே பேசுவதை விட, அவற்றில் ஒன்றையாவது பின்பற்ற வேண்டும். நீங்கள் வாழ்க்கை முழுவதும் சேவகர்களாக இருக்கத் தயாராக வேண்டுமே அன்றி, தலைவர்களாக ஆக வேண்டுமென்று ஆசைப்படாதீர்கள். சேவகர்களாக இல்லாமல், தலைவர்களாக ஆக முடியாது; கிங்கரனாக இல்லாமல் சங்கரனாக ஆக முடியாது. சேவகர்களாக இல்லாமல் தலைவர்களாக ஆகிவிட்டதால்தான் இன்று உலகம் இந்த நிலையில் இருப்பதை நாம் பார்க்க வேண்டியுள்ளது. எனவே வாழ்க்கை முழுவதையும் சேவையின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு அர்ப்பணிப்பதற்கு நீங்கள் சித்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். முதன்முதலில் தனது வீட்டிற்கும், பின்னர் தனது கிராமத்திற்கும், பின்னர் தனது மாவட்டத்திற்கும், பின்னர் தனது மாநிலத்திற்கும், பின்னர் தேசத்திற்கும் தகுந்த சேவை செய்வதற்கு நீங்கள் சற்று தயாராகவே இருக்க வேண்டும். இல்லத்தில் திருப்திகரமாக சேவை செய்ய இயலாதவர்களாகிய நாம், தேசத்திற்கு எவ்வாறு திருப்தியை அளிக்க முடியும்?
