අප තුළ පවත්නා ප්රේමය දෙවියන්ගේ විශ්වමය හා සුපිරිසිදු ප්රේමය දක්වා ව්යාප්ත කර ගැනීමේ ආරම්භය කුමක්ද යන්න භගවාන් සමිඳුන් අපට පැහැදිළි කරති.
දිව්යමය ප්රේමය අනන්ත වූ නිමක් නොදකින සාගරය බඳු වේ. මේ සාගරයේ ඇති සියලු ජලය ඔබට බඳුනකට රැස් කර ගත නොහැක. කෙතරම් ජලය ප්රමාණයක් ඔබ සතු කර ගත හැකිද යන්න තීරණය වන්නේ ඔබ අතෙහි ඇති බඳුනේ පරිමාව අනුව වේ. ඔබ සතු බඳුනේ ප්රමාණය සධානා මගින් විශාල කර ගත යුතු වේ. මේ සාධනා අතුරින් පළමු සාධනාව වන්නේ ඔබ ළදරු කාලයේ පටන් ඔබගේ මව ඔබ වෙත දායාද කළ ඉමහත් ප්රේමය සිහිපත් කරමින් ඇය වෙත භක්තිය පුද කිරීමයි. ඇයගේ මේ කැප කිරීමට ඔබ ප්රණාමය පුද කළ යුතු වේ. එවිට ඔබගේ මවද ඔබ වෙත දක්වන ආදරය වඩ වඩාත් ප්රදර්ශනය කරවයි. මව තම කුඩා දරුවා නහවයි, ඇඳුම් අන්දවයි, යහනක තබා නිදි කරවයි, ඒ සියලු කාර්යයන් වලට අමතරව ඇය නිවසේ කටයුතුද ඉටු කරයි. මේ සියලු කරුණු සැලකිල්ලට ගෙන ඔබ මව වෙත භක්තිය, ප්රණාමය පුද කරන්නේ නම් එය දෙවියන් වෙත ඔබගේ භක්තිය පුද කිරීමක් වේ.

How can we expand our love to make it as pure as the Lord’s universal love? Bhagawan lovingly instructs us as to where we can begin.
God’s love is like an infinite and endless ocean. Simply because God’s love is infinite and endless, you cannot carry all of it with you. What you can carry with you will depend on the size of the pot that you take. So the first thing to do is to enlarge the size of your pot, and this can be done by the practice of sadhana. In this sadhana, the first step is respect for your mother. The bhakti or love towards the mother should be such that you recognise the great love and affection with which your mother has brought you up. You must return gratitude to your mother in the form of love or bhakti. The mother will also show bhakti in the form of vatsalya (affection of mother for child), in return, to the love of the son. The mother will bathe, dress, and cajole the baby and put the baby to sleep. While doing all these, she will be attending to her daily duties. In this way, the attachment and affection between the mother and the son can be promoted. If promoted properly, that itself can be shaped in the form of bhakti towards the Lord.

இறைவனது ப்ரேமை அளவற்ற முடிவற்ற கடலைப் போன்றதாகும். இறைவனது ப்ரேமை அளவற்றதாக முடிவற்றதாக இருப்பதாலேயே, நீங்கள் அதை முழுவதுமாக அள்ளிச் செல்ல முடியாது. நீங்கள் எவ்வளவு நிரப்பிக் கொண்டு செல்ல முடியும் என்பது நீங்கள் எடுத்துச் செல்லும் பாத்திரத்தின் அளவைப் பொறுத்ததே. எனவே முதன்முதலில் செய்ய வேண்டியது, உங்களது பாத்திரத்தின் அளவை அதிகப்படுத்துவது தான்; இதையே ஆன்மிக சாதனை என்றனர். ஆன்மிக சாதனையின் முதற்படியே ‘மாத்ரு பக்தி’. இந்த மாத்ரு பக்தி என்பது நீங்கள் பிறந்ததிலிருந்து உங்கள் அன்னை உங்களை எவ்வாறு நேசித்து, அரவணைத்து, பலவிதமாகப் பாராட்டி, சீராட்டியதோ, அத்தகைய ப்ரேமையை அன்னை மீது பொழிவதற்கு நாம் தயாராக இருக்க வேண்டும். அந்த அன்னையும் தன் மகன் மீது வாத்சல்ய ப்ரேமையினால் மகனின் க்ஷேமத்தையும், வளர்ச்சியையும், நலனையும் ஒவ்வொரு கணமும் கருத்தில் கொண்டிருப்பாள். குழந்தையைக் குளிப்பாட்டி, பொட்டு வைத்து, தொட்டிலில் படுக்க வைத்து, தாலாட்டி, தன் வேலைகள் அனைத்தும் முடியும்வரை தன் கவனம் முழுவதையும் மகனின் மீதே வைத்து தன் கடமையில் மூழ்கியிருப்பாள். இவ்விதமாக தாய்க்கு மகனின் மீதும், மகனுக்குத் தாயின் மீதும் இருக்கக் கூடிய வாத்சல்யம், மாத்ரு பக்தி – இவையிரண்டுக்கும் இடையே உள்ள நெருங்கிய சம்பந்தத்தை சரியாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டால் அதுவே இறைவன் மீதான பக்தியாக மாறிவிடுகிறது.
