The final session of the Buddha Purnima celebrations featured a wisdom talk followed by a cultural presentation this evening in His immediate Divine omnipresence in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Speaking on the occasion, the guest speaker, Prof Sundanda Degamboda of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, Srilanka, spoke on the meaning of Buddha Purnima, which he said is the full moon day when Prince Siddhartha perfected his wisdom. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai has given us the potential weapons of Selfless Service and Love, which can be achieved through Namasmarana that in turn helps to sharpen one’s intellect, thus the significance of Buddha Purnima, said the speaker, enlightening the august assembly on the supreme importance of the special occasion.
A couple of dance offerings followed next, a Charya Dance by the Balvikas, Srilanka, followed by a Pancha Buddha Dance by the Sai Youth of Srilanka.
International bhajans continued, and the session came to a grand culmination with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
